Day 1: Machame hut.

The drive from Arusha to the Mount Kilimanjaro National Park takes about 2 hours, you will start your adventure walk through the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge within the beautiful trees, fern trees, and endemic flower, the climb takes 5 hours to Machame camp which located above the tree.

Day 2: Shira Cave Camp.

Your Nile Safaris and tours team will provide an early breakfast before leaving the Machame camp to Shira cave camp, the path crossing the little valley along a steep rocky ridge, covered with heather and moorland until the end of the ridge. Shira camp has an incredible view of mountains, sunset view and Kibo glacier view, The climb to Shira cave camp will take 3-4 hours thereafter and you will have a hot lunch at the camp.

Day 3: Climb from Shira camp to Barranco camp.

After breakfast, you will stark climb from the Shira camp to Barranco via lava, the trail is passing the junction toward the peak of kibo, from southeast the direction changes towards the lava tower where we will stop the hot lunch before descending to Barranco camp, walking hours will approximately 6 hours, this day is important for acclimatization and prepares your body for attack summit night.

Day 4: Climb from Barranco to Barafu camp.

After breakfast, the trek starts with climbing the Barranco wall to the Karanga Valley campsite for the hot lunch before we carry on to the base camp, you walk on a steep ridge through the Barranco wall, and your professional guide will walk closer to assist you wherever you need help. From base camp the two peaks, Mawenzi and kibo are to be seen.

Day 5: Climb from Barafu to Summit.

Your Nile Safaris and tours team will wake you up with hot tea and light snacks before starting the most physical and mentally challenging part of the trek. The summit attack will take 6 to 7 hours to reach Uhuru peak 5,895 meters, here you will experience the sunrise on top of Africa, after taking pictures the descent begins the same route, and shortly before midday, you will arrive at Barafu camp for hot lunch and rest before going down to Mweka camp for dinner and overnight.

 Day 6: From Mweka camp to Mweka gate.

After breakfast, your Kilimanjaro climbing adventure will begin with descending down to Mweka gate to receive your summit certificate, it will take two hours and a half to descent through the rain forest to Mweka gate, your transfer driver will take you to your arranged hotel.

 Day 7: Drive to Tarangire National Park.

Your 5 days Kilimanjaro climb, and 3 days safari will start with an early breakfast at your hotel and the transfer you to Tarangire National Park, the drive from Arusha to Tarangire is about 2 hours, Tarangire is the most beautiful Park to see lion, elephant, impala, various birds’ species and see elephant bathing in the Tarangire river. later evening drive to Mto wa mbu for overnight stay at fanaka lodge

Day 8: Drive to Ngorongoro Crater.

Nile Safaris and tours will take you to visit the Ngorongoro crater after an early breakfast at your hotel or lodge. Ngorongoro crater is a protected area and a world heritage site just located 180 kilometers west of Arusha, approximately 25,000 large animals live in the crater include the black rhino, buffalo, blue wildebeest and hippopotamus. After a full day of a game drive, you will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park.

Your expert safari drive will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to Manyara National Park for animals spotting, lake Manyara National Park is well known for tree-climbing lion, elephant, zebra and thousands of flamingos that feed along edge of the lake in the wet season. The 5 days Kilimanjaro climb, and 3 days safari will end with return to the hotel in Arusha.
