Description of Canoe Safari Arusha National Park:
On this 2-2.5-hour tour, you’ll explore a part of the Momella Lakes in Arusha National Park by canoe. These lakes were formed when Mount Meru erupted about 250,000 years ago, resulting in the creation of seven alkaline lakes. These lakes provide a perfect habitat for various aquatic birds, including greater and lesser pink flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles, and many more. In fact, the park is home to up to 600 different bird species.
