Booking and Payment Terms for ile Safaris and Tours
Booking Confirmation:
To confirm your booking, please provide confirmation either via email to Nile Safaris and Tours or directly through our itinerary form, which links directly to the payment page. This confirmation must be in writing to ensure clarity and mutual understanding of the booking details.
Payment Methods:
Online Payment Portal: Payments can be made securely through our online payment portal using either credit or debit card.

30% deposit to secure the booking.
An additional 40% is due 8 weeks prior to travel.
The remaining 30% must be paid 30 days before the tour begins.
Please ensure timely payments to secure your reservation. Late payments will result in cancellation of the booking and loss of deposit. Early bookings are encouraged to guarantee availability.
- Payments from overseas and non-residents of Tanzania should be made in US Dollars. Residents of Tanzania may pay in the local currency at the current exchange rate at the time of payment. ile Safaris and Tours reserves the right to withhold services if payments are not made according to the specified conditions.
Late Bookings:
For reservations made within 40 days prior to the commencement of the safari, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy:
To concel a confirmed booking, notification must be made in writing to Nile Safaris and Tours. The following cancellation fees will apply from the date your written notification is received:
- More than 61 days prior to departure: 20% of the package price.
- 60 to 45 days prior to departure: 50% of the package price.
- 44 to 31 days prior to departure: 70% of the package price.
- 30 days or less prior to departure or after the safari has commenced: 100% of the package price; no refunds will be issued for cancellations made within this period or once the safari has started.
AMENDMENTS
Any amendment by the client of a once confirmed itinerary (change of dates, hotel) will be charged by a reasonable amount, but at least 10% of the tour price.
ACCESS
We cannot be held responsible for road and airstrip conditions, which may make travel impossible at times. Any changes to the initial itinerary are subject to the conditions and rates outlined above, despite any access matters or weather conditions.
RISK
The company and its owner, director, management staff, and employees shall not be held responsible for any injury or death to persons on tour, nor for loss or damage to personal property, however, they may be caused. The company draws your attention to the fact that there are certain inherent risks present when on Safari, or when engaging in any strenuous physical activity. It is your sole responsibility to obtain appropriate medical advice as to medication, immunization, and whether or not you are fit enough to undertake the trip, prior to departure. The company shall not be liable for illness, injury or death sustained whilst visiting the properties owned and managed by the company.
FORCE MAJEURE
“Force Majeure “ means, in relation to the company, any circumstances beyond the control of the company (including and without limitation, acts of God, explosions, floods, tempests, fires, accidents, war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions or other outwards occurrences). If the company is affected by force majeure it shall forthwith notify you of nature and extent thereof. The company shall not be deemed to be in breach of these items and conditions or otherwise be liable to you, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of its obligations hereunder to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any force majeure. If the company is affected by force majeure it shall be entitled to, and may at its sole and absolute discretion, vary or cancel any reservations or cancel any reservation or arrangement in relation to the visits. Payment of any refund by the company to you as a result of the non-performance of any company shall use its reasonable endeavors to reimburse you where possible. However, the company shall be entitled to deduct from any refund recoverable to the reasonable actual and potential costs to the company of the force majeure.
DISPUTES
If you have any cause of complaints while traveling, you must immediately bring it to the attention of the company’s representative or agent who will attempt to resolve the situation.
Important Information:
There are no refunds for any unused portion of the safari once it has commenced. Cancellation penalties or additional costs incurred from changes in airline schedules or airfares are not included in the above cancellation fees and must be handled directly with the involved airlines. We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance to cover the total cost of the safari.
NOTE: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These are the terms and conditions governing the relationship between the company and you, to the total exclusion of any other terms and conditions. No alterations to the terms and conditions may be made by any of the company’s employees, authorized representatives, or agents, unless in writing by an authorized officer of the company. All decisions and matters subject to the company’s discretion shall be by an authorized officer of the company. The Company reserves the right to employ sub-contractors for all or part of the services
